Bring cash or else you'll have to use their ATM with a big surcharge. Everything here is fine, if you like fried catfish then you'll be happy. The boiled shrimp is pretty bland.

Absolutely loved as a k8d and still love it today...ty Charlies for the memories and the Catfish.

They start you off with an appetizer which is coleslaw and crackers and a drink of your choice it took a while for our fish to come out but it was worth the wait. The staff was very professional and polite and your food comes with it unlimited fries. I definitely will be coming back when I'm in Mississippi.Oh by the way they only open three days out the week which is Thursday Friday Saturday

Food was great. Enjoyed it very much. They were very busy so it took a little while. We went on a Thursday evening. Don't forget to take cash!They do have a ATM.

Was not pleased with the fried shrimp. Fried catfish was good. Service was bad waitress messed up our order and she never apologized.

Totally dissatisfied! Service is normally slow. Over the years, they have cut corners on their catfish, coleslaw, crackers and sweet tea resulting in diminished quality of food. They will not accept debit/credit cards in the 21st century and only have one register handling payments for dine in customers, on-site to-go orders, and call in orders. You cannot go on a one hour lunch break and get back to work on time. The servers are great, but it's clear that the owner(s) don't place value on their clientele. If it were not for my wife, I would NEVER go back.

I heard so many good things about this place only to be disappointed Slow slow service. It took 23 minutes before I was asked what I'd like to drink and another 46 min to receive my food. Catfish was so over cook there wasnt any meat left so I sent it back. 2nd batch was alot better but full of grease. I'll never return here.

I've traveled all around the country and there's no question about it...Charlie's is by far the best catfish I've ever had! When I used to go to Laurel on business I'd eat lunch and dinner there...It's that good! Now I live in Cincinnati where they don't know how to cook catfish. Whenever I travel south I'll go way out of my way to go to Charlie's.

Loooooonnngggg time to get your food. And I mean a LONG wait time. Good food can only take you so far, the wait it a huge detractor from eating here. It was tgat way when i was younger... Still ultra slow...

The best place in town for fried catfish & boiled shrimp. The bowl of coleslaw you get before your meal is FABULOUS! Only drawback is they don’t take credit cards,but they do offer an ATM machine

Food was ok, I had a burger because they don't have catfish filet's only whole catfish. They also only take cash no cards. Plus the most major crime against humanity they only have Kraft Mayo.... Which is the worst Mayo on the planet . For me not good experience. But others love it and the service is good if they have anything you like

Waited over an hour and after finally getting my food the fish was fried entirely too hard to the point it wasn't edible.

Always a busy and popular place to eat. Took some time for our meals to come out but once it did the waiters were rollin'. I greatly admired our waiters, very friendly and attentive ladies! They made sure to take care of our extra orders quickly as they could.

Best catfish around! Excellent service. You may have to wait a little while but it's worth the wait! Love the cole slaw too.

The food was good. the waitress need to interact a little better. the waiting area is a little small thou need to be better insulating in that area it get cold in that area in the winter months

I ate the hamburger steak which was good. I do not like to eat whole fish because I don't like dealing with the bones. They do serve fried or boiled shrimp and crab but I have not tried any of those. The prices overall or decent. Do not frequent much though because it is out of the way for me to go there. Again I will say the food is good and it has a pleasant atmosphere.

Perfectly boiled shrimp doesn't come quickly! Be prepared to wait for awhile after you order! So worth it!

Great ole school fish house

Use to eat there every Friday night 37 years ago the food was good and service was good. moved away and was in the neighborhood a few weeks ago and we ate there and the food is still so good and still have great waitresses .

We drove 30 miles to get dinner. We called our order in on the way, at least 20 min ahead. We had 2 boiled shrimp dinners. After arriving and discovering we had to wait an additional 30 min. They brought us the wrong order. We didn't notice the mistake until driving all the way back home. Booooo, we were not pleased at all. Sorry Charlie.

You can not top Charlie's. Has been my favorite catfish restaurant for YEARS. Coleslaw, hushpuppy, french fries and fish are just really good.

Our waitress did a great job and was very friendly. The food was pretty good as well.

Grew up eating at Charlie's. I make it a point to go there every time I go back home for a visit. Consistently awesome every time and reasonably priced!

Yes this is my Friday night spot it's so awesome hot and fresh friendly people
